Chlamydia Screening

Chlamydia Screening & Testing – expiry 31/3/2015 This Service provides opportunistic screening using a postal kit and treatment to Chlamydia positive young people aged 15-24 years and treatment for partners of any age. All young women who attend for Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) should be offered a Chlamydia screening test before issuing emergency contraception. Uncomplicated/symptom free Chlamydia positive 15-24 year olds and their partners of any age can be treated by a qualified pharmacist. The pharmacist should also raise awareness of the risks associated with unprotected sexual intercourse (UPSI).
